The Inaugural Class of the National Jail Leadership Command Academy (NJLCA) established the Andrew Nunnally/Bob Patterson Scholarship Fund. One scholarship will be awarded to the next upcoming NJLCA class. The scholarship is named in honor of Andrew Nunnally, a member of the first graduating class, and Bob Patterson, one of the driving forces behind the launch of the Academy.
The Texas Jail Association is proud to announce the formation of the Jerry Baggs Memorial Scholarship that will fund attendance to the National Jail Leadership Command Academy (NJLCA) held at the Correctional Management Institute of Texas on the campus of Sam Houston State University. The establishment of the scholarship is named in honor of Jerry Baggs, the founding President of the Texas Jail Association This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving TJA member whose agency does not have the resources available to enable the employee to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
The goal of the NJ County Jail Warden’s Association and National Jail Leadership Command Academy (NJLCA) is to provide training for succession preparation, and to develop leadership skills for successful transitioning of mid-level managers into senior leadership positions within jails.
This training scholarship will be awarded by the NJCJWA to a deserving individual from a N.J. county jail. This scholarship will be awarded three times a year (each session) and will be rotated amongst counties.
